On National Letter of Intent Day, some college-bound athletes choose to sign commitments from the privacy of their home. Others sign at their high school, so friends and family could witness the momentous occasion.
Kaleo Fernandez, a Harbor High senior, and several of his U18 San Jose Earthquakes Academy teammates signed Wednesday at 18,000-seat Avaya Stadium, home to Major League Soccer’s Earthquakes and several huge international contests.
