Applicant must be in good health and not dependent on medication or have any other disqualifying condition, must have a current medical certificate, appropriate to the rating she seeks, must live in Santa Cruz County. If the applicant is already a licensed pilot, she must have completed any necessary written exams, have a current flight review or equivalent, and have all ratings prerequisite to the rating she seeks before money is awarded, but not necessarily before application. Professional Business Women of California Academic Scholarship

The PBWC Conference, which is the largest women’s conference of its kind in Northern California, provides a forum for advancing women’s professional and personal development through tools, resources, training and inspiration. The Robert Hunter Swadley Horticulture Scholarship

Students are eligible to participate if they are U.S. citizens, their parents/guardians are not in the Foreign Service, and they are in grades nine through twelve.

The Daniel A. Terry Scholarship
To be eligible applicant must be the natural or legally adopted child of a California firefighter who died in the line of duty and whose name appears or is approved to appear on the California Firefighters Memorial Wall. Applicants must be under 27 years of age at the application closing date and must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or be in the final year of high school. Must write an essay and autobiography.

Society of Women Engineers Scholarship
 $1,000-$2,500 Students must be female HS seniors, college, and graduate students pursuing a BS and/or MS in engineering or computer science. Engineering students must be enrolled in ABET-accredited engineering programs. Computer science students must be enrolled in CSAB-accredited programs or attend schools with ABET-accredited engineering programs. Complete scholarship application online or mail in a paper copy. American Institute of Chemical Engineers Minority Affairs Committee's Scholarship Awards for Incoming College Freshmen
The AIChE Minority Scholarship Award is presented to selected incoming college freshman annually. Applicants shall be required to be high school graduates during the current academic year and be members of a minority group that is under-represented in chemical engineering, i.e., African-American, Hispanic, Native American, Alaskan Native, Pacific Islander. Applicants must plan to enroll during the current academic year in a four-year college or university offering a science/engineering degree. Students are encouraged to choose classes leading to a degree in chemical engineering. While students admitted for science and engineering degrees are encouraged to apply for this scholarship, preference will be given to students admitted into chemical engineering degree programs.
